Colorful Wooden Fish Sculpture

A signed alebrije from Oaxaca, Mexico delights the eyes with its bright colors and festive pattern. Jesus Sosa Calvo created a fish inspired by the tropical coasts in 1989. As the item is vintage, the wood shows splitting and repair at the base of his left fin. At least 8 bright colors, including a vibrant silver are used in this sculpture. Sea urchin and starfish are not included.
